Glad that Phil won. Tiger didn't do to badly considering everything that has been going on in his life the last few months.

I don't like Tiger and I never did.

That aside, I love Phil. Phil is definitely my favorite. He is a nice guy and a true family man.

It was a fantastic tournament overall. The crowds on Saturday and Sunday were roaring just like always. The excitement was definitely in the air. I came home early on Sunday so we could watch the rest of it on TV. It was absolutely great to see Phil win his 3rd green jacket.

Freddie was doing fantastically. For being (50,51?) his age, he played amazingly. He beat the record score for 50+ players in the Masters this year. If he didn't hit the ball into the water for a double bogey, he would have been a little higher up on the list.

He made a great putt on #3 for birdie.

Freddie is a great guy and I will always pull for him. It was exciting to see him do so well and to see the respect that everyone gives him.

Now that the excitement is over, I must look forward to next year. Unfortunately, I need to go back to school now. I missed an entire week of classes for the Masters.

To the person who asked: The Masters is the cheapest sporting event around. A snack is $1.00. Soda is $1.50 as well as large water bottles. Sandwiches are $1.50-$2.50 a piece. Even the gift shop is decently priced. Polo shirts are expensive ($115 or so, depending on style and mens/womens), but everything else is moderately priced.

For example, I ate ALL of the sandwiches I wanted and got as much food as I cared to eat (and I love Masters sandwiches) and I spent less than $60 on all 4 tournament days.

I would love to go to the Masters just once. The course looks amazing on TV I would imagine it is so much better in person. I know tickets are really hard to get how did you get so lucky?

I am glad Phil won, all he and his family have been through the past year it is nice to see the family man win not the man whore.

I wish Tiger would stop apologizing, it really wasn't that bad, I mean its not like he is launching white phosphorus artillery shells marked M825 A1 – a US-made munition on the Gaza strip or something.

He's having consensual heterosexual adult sex.

Some people.

Some people... like his wife, disagree with that viewpoint.

My family and I are from North Augusta, SC. I have family that works at the Masters (only during the tournament).

In the process, he is committing adultery and deceiving his wife into thinking that she is his only partner.

You won't find that many people will sympathize with your very disconnected and secular viewpoint.

Jim Nantz, the voice of CBS at the Masters, takes exception to Tiger and rightly so... perhaps the question fans should be asking is why the sport let Tiger back in if he is still bringing discredit to the sport?

Jim Nantz criticizes Tiger Woods' vocal tantrums

"Jim Nantz, the voice of CBS at the Masters, had a chance to talk with Mike Francesa of WFAN on Monday, and let it be known that he wasn't happy with the way Woods acted."

"If I said what he said on the air, I would be fired. I read in the USA Today and it was called “mild language.” Someone on my broadcast dismissed it as him having a camera in his face. Well, guess what? Phil Mickelson had a camera in his face all week and did you even hear him come close to approaching that? He didn’t hit every shot the way he wanted. Have you ever heard Arnold Palmer or Jack Nicklaus use that kind of language? What are the parameters between what’s right or wrong?"

"He also said that there are people watching the telecast that shouldn't be subjected to such profanities."

"How about the father and son who are standing right there by the tee? How about the hundreds of people who are around that tee who hear that? How about the hundreds of letters I’ve gotten through the years from people who have been outraged at the language they’ve heard there and have written me and said, ‘Why don’t you guys ever say something about that?’"

"Nantz obviously has some great points here. If you're going to cuss when the cameras are rolling over a live broadcast, that is one thing, but when you tell us you won't and still do it, it sure makes you look bad. Especially for a guy trying to bulldoze his past image."

Oh by golly me he's cursing

To be fair, Woods did promise to stop this type of behavior in his February apology news conference - - it is a gentleman's game after all.

Further, in that same news conference he said he was returning to the Buddhist faith, yet oddly his curse words at the Masters included "Jesus Christ!". I might have thought he would have gone with "Buddha Damn It!", though I'm not sure that that exactly fits the serenity aspired to in that faith either.

The rest of the players seem to manage to play the game without repeated outbursts of swearing. They also seem far more serene and relaxed and when a bad shot occurs they often seem bemused, much like I imagine Buddha might be if he was a golfer.

Oh please, the Networks TV shows say things that are allegedly far worse.

It's getting ridiculous.

What I think Nance was referring to was the "dammit" he dropped. The mics caught it loud and clear and it went out live. It is an issue that the PGA needs to address.

EDIT: He didn't drop the F bomb that I could find, it was a "Dammit." My mistake.

Other sports impose sizable fines for behavior unbecoming or gross violations of codes of conduct; Tiger has a boatload of cash. Seems a simple matter for the PGA to resolve.
