Holy crap! This is still one of my favorite games. It's great, the missions are fun, the world is huge, and the ability to call in a bomb strike and new vehicles is great. It's great to mess around, but the story is also fun. I've beaten it a few times and just can't wait for Mercs 2 in August.
That was probably my favorite game for PS2. I played it on a friends xbox and then bought it the next day. I've been waiting for World In Flames for a while, it's been delayed a bunch, but it was (of one) my main reason to get a PS3.
I have another question? Is Mercenaries 2 going to come out on PS2? If so, I would like to buy that game too.

Ah iPhil, you beat me to it. I loved my big fat PS2 it worked great and still does. But my backward-compatible PS3 sorta took it's place under my TV.
ya i got the 40gb PS3, so there is still room for the big fat PS2 🙂
Mercs is tons of fun, and even though the missions can get a little repetitive, blowing stuff up, doesn't. Any game that doesn't blow stuff up is most likely not worth your time. 😉

I played this game non-stop already since I got it and recently I already captured Ace of Hearts. I am obsessed with this game. 😀 Such a good game.
How far you into Mercenaries? 😀 What do you want to see after Mercenaries 2?
I think Mercenaries in Iraq would be best. That should be Mercenaries 3.

I use unlimited ammo from time to time but never infinite health.
I use the anti-armor rifle as my main weapon.
yeah thats my fav 2. the cheat weapons drop is fun for a while, but its nice to take a break with some more realistic weapons. i didnt like how the street sweeper stuck out of your shoulder instead of resting on your back

I play as the American guy and I like to work for the Mafia the most.
