I ordered both, but leaning 42

But it depends what you want to get out of the watch- if you want a more discrete watch, especially if it will be under a shirt most of the time- go 38

If you want something to stick out and intend reading a lot on the watch- then of course go 42

I think that the 38mm looks better in that photo.

And then consider that if you do go for the 42mm, you'll most likely wear it in the place that the 38mm is sitting in that photo. It will look too big in my opinion.

Go 42mm. The 38mm looks too small for you.

Just came back from the Apple store. The 38mm is much smaller than it looks in pictures. Not just the watch but the band is so much smaller. It is really a woman's or small persons watch. I would not recommend it for a man.

Don't go by the pictures. See it in person. For a man the 42mm is the way to go.

I ordered the 42mm SS with link band. The classic look.

He's right about them being smaller than they look in pictures. It's so true. The 42mm looks huge on me in pictures on my 155mm wrist, but it seems like the right size when I actually wear it.

Sorry, but I'm a man who is going with the 38mm and I've tried it on in store. Stop making such sweeping statements.

I agree photographs are deceptive. Both models look smaller in person and in fact a lot of people here who are going for the 38mm could easily wear the 42mm.

We are all entitled to our opinions. Mine is as valid as yours.

Reread what you wrote and ask yourself whether that's really a valid opinion...

It is really a woman's or small persons watch. I would not recommend it for a man.

Then again, why would we care what you would recommend?

38mm does not look too small on men with 2" wrists, and there is no real benefit for 42mm on smaller wrist unless you have very poor eyesight, or just like the look.

You will not see more info on the 42mm, just slightly larger text and images.

I have a 155mm wrist. I tried both sizes on, walked away, and then came back and tried them both on again. The 38mm does indeed look small in person, but when you see it in pictures, it looks bigger than it really is. You can see from my pics that the 42mm looks huge in pictures, but when I tried it on in the store, it looked just right (I wear a G-shock watch, so maybe that's why).

I will be trying them on again next week as I have both on order. The 38mm will most likely come first as it was ordered at 3AM EST (12PST) and the 42mm was ordered at noon (EST) on the 10th (June delivery?).
