The cast and crew of "The Morning Show" will return to set on Monday, October 19 to resume filming on the second season of the series, reports Deadline.

The date is tentative and subject to change due to the ongoing global health crisis, but the plan is to have the main cast return in two weeks. Returning cast members include Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, and Steve Carell.

Carell originally only had a one-year contract to film "The Morning Show," but the producers were able to secure a new deal with him.

Filming on season 2 initially kicked off earlier this year and two episodes were in the final stages of filming when work was suspended in March. The new season will reflect the pandemic as the show's writers spent the time off making edits to the series to include the current situation.

"The Morning Show" has been one of the most popular and notable Apple TV+ shows to date, receiving positive reviews from critics after its November launch. The show was nominated for several Golden Globe awards, and Billy Crudup won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

I wonder if we will see the two episodes already filmed before the rest of the season is release?

S01 was really good, and had a really good ending that wrapped it up for all the characters that mattered, and closed-out the thesis/theme of the show. I really was not left at all with the desire to see how the rest of these characters' lives unfold going forward. So I really hope S02 doesn't feel forced, or they are able to shift themes to something else captivating.

Hopefully Tehran and Ted Lasso, both outstanding series, will keep me going until new Morning Show episodes start dropping. That's what initially sold me on Apple TV+.

So intrigued to see where they take this show next. The season finale was phenomenal. So thrilling.

Excited for season 2 and will definitely renew my Apple TV for this. As well as that secret sci fi series they’re doing.

All of this in just the first year. Apple TV is potentially going to be a streaming force to be reckoned with in several years. Maybe longer due to the pandemic. But that’s no surprise since their deep pockets can literally pay for the best Apple TV exclusive content.

I love The Morning Show. And so interested to see how they work the pandemic into the storylines. When they did this with the wildfires of LA in season one, it was tremendous.

I like this show. My only complaint about it is there are way too many F-bombs from the women on this show and often too much anger coming from them. Funny it's just the opposite when it comes to the men on the show. Not really a reality.

Will they be wearing masks and sitting 6 ft apart? Or will they all be dialed in via Zoom?
They don't have to do that. Many shows are coming back and the actors are fully tested for Covid before filming. If you're talking about for the sake of being "politically correct" I doubt it. I certainly don't want to watch a show full of actors wearing masks and if The Morning Show does that I will not continue to watch.

Besides Crudup, i thought Hannah was the best character and really had a lot of space to explore with. So kinda bummed she won't be back. I guess maybe Gugu Mbatha-Raw only had a one-year deal, but a shame they ended her story where they did.

Exactly, the first season wrapped up so well and ended in such a perfect way, I don't want another season. Too many shows go a season too long and then ruin the show. I'm not saying that a second season would ruin the show, but its definitely not ruined by ending it at season one.

I enjoyed Season 1, but I have zero interest in watching Season 2. It seems like they wrapped up everything in Season 1.

Agreed. They were no doubt trying to portray female empowerment but it went a bit overboard at points
