well, the season of the most recent NBA lockout, San Antonio got the championship! asterisk that Phil Jackson!! maybe with this hockey dealie the Iguanas or the Rampage will become NHL teams? hockey is entertaining but pointless as far as im concerned. the best part is watching them fight and going to an arena where it's really cold. plus minor league hockey is cheap here ;) . so, i propose a mandatory statute that all wrestling matches be staged on ice with large wooden/plastic/carbon fiber/whatever sticks. that would condense a hockey match to the parts that matter and lessen the likelihood of a strike

I've been to a couple of Rampage games, but I thought that the Iguanas were done away with a few years ago? BTW...the Rampage stink compared to other Minor league teams...no way they're ever going to be an NHL team. They're just a development team in fact, for I believe Tampa Bay.

It always seemed strange that it's called the World Series. If so then it should really involve the World. I wonder is they could successfully compete?

Amen to that. Given the scope of baseball around the world; MLB has an opportunity to gain more TV mindshare by doing a "US series" then followed by the "World series".

The point being is that "minor league" teams have heart over money. Give me "minor league" teams over the overpaid "majors".

I can see that on some level. Heart is great and all, but just judging from the minor games I've been to, the talent just isn't there. I love when players have heart, but to see some amazing plays by very talented players is a draw for me. That said, I'll be going to minor league games this year is the CBA isn't settled.
