My wife's family is big on Christmas lists (it's a long story) and they started bugging me about not having one. So I put one together with 2 x WD Red 2TB drives on it at the top. No one even knew what that was and I stated that I'd want two or none of these drives.

At the moment I now have my Synology DS-212j backing up my old drives and I'm ready to install my new WD Red's as a RAID 1! The nice thing is that one of my old drives is a 1.5TB WD Black, that I'll use as a USB external backup drive.

Ahh the joys of a nerds Christmas.

I do the same for my Christmas tool list. I print out the DeWalt product pages and give them to the wife. She does a great job of comparative shopping once she has the product number and description.

As we all know.....boys and their tools!

Lol, my mom generally has no idea what I ask for, but bless her she gets it and then asks me if "that thingy I got you" is working out well?
