The blue maybe everyones favorite color but I think the new gold look much more stunning 🤩

It looks like gold this time. Not champagne gold, not rose gold but gold!

There's no reason to believe the gold would be any more likely to do this than any other color than silver.

All phones are prone to scratches. If anything, the materials this year have been improved?, but regardless, you can't escape the cratches unless you don't use your phone. The color has nothing to do with it.

With its PVD coating the same as stainless Apple watches, I can’t see it being too easy to scratch

It is the same coating, they mentioned PVD in the announcement.
Of course scratches will happen, I’m not trying to say they won’t. But the coating is pretty damn sturdy when it comes to keeping its colour and looking good.

Gold has PVD. The iPhone glass has PVD, and I would assume the gold steel will have it too.

By the way, it's never gonna look like it does in the pictures after you pick it up. Stainless steel smudges instantly with fingerprints.

It is the only gold I put up there with the XS Gold. I have bought several iPhones and never considered Gold until today. I’m torn between graphite and gold, but I’ve done black so many times.

I’m getting gold because it looks amazing upon first look and double take, so it won’t be a color I’ll get tired of (unlike that blue; nice, but exhausting like midnight green). I’m upgrading from an 11 Pro
