Its hard to see where the iPad Air could be any better...yes more RAM, a faster processor but as it is, I think the current Air is what the iPad was really meant to be - hardware at a minimum and the internet just flows from it.

Thinner and lighter? I guess it could be but the current form factor is pretty compelling. If it was 6mm and 50 grams less I guess it would be better but as it is, its a pretty impressive package.

It's a good feature that the internet just flows from it. With my iPad 4 I need to chase the internet around. I've lost 20 lbs.

I am sure their engineers are pretty good to make sure that is not the case for 99.9999% of the population. The 0.00001% that has a bent device, no matter how it happens, will have to deal with it.

It's just common sense . If you are a successful company with successful products that you don't do silly things like that.

And then again you don't look at a few examples of bent phones and go make your next version 20% heavier and thicker in hope to prevent a very small percentage of extraordinary accidents.

I hope they do NOT make it lighter and thinner. Structural integrity will be compromised if it gets thinner, there are already several bend iPads and MANY bent iPhone due to Apple making them thinner and thinner.

Just work on the guts and give us some more RAM and keep working on the OS.

I am not asking Apple for 20% thicker! Just hope they leave them the same.

I think the "it has to be lighter and thinner" is off the mark - there are plenty of other things that could/should be done.

I really hope the iPad Air2 has the screen problems (not "issues") worked out. It'd be nice to have a fairly evenly lit display with no yellow cast and no bookspine shadow or back light bleed.
