Like the fact that millions of people are using the same product as you, which means you can get a lot of help in forums like this -- more help than with the company's own hotline. And the fact that hundreds of third-party companies are creating every kind of accessory you can think of for iPods, from Gucci cases to specialized speakers to helpful hackware.
