I noticed my battery life is way worse now, I can only think it's because the Heart Rate monitor is just so happy to keep coming on. Also how it tracks your exercise automatically now, then constantly bugs you to record it.

Is there any setting to get it to function like the old OS? Cause so far all I can see is on or off.

Or can I downgrade OS?

First question I have is: how long has it been since you updated the OS? I found battery life to be worse on my Series 2 initially but once it settled down it was just as it was before.

I am getting roughly the same battery life on S2 as I am S4 running 5.01.

I have DND enabled while I sleep, set to silent mode 24/7, haptic feedback is minimum, screen brightness to minimum, minimal apps running in background. Detect Gym equipment is set to off. I have Heart Rate monitors set to off and do not have one in my complication. If I need it, I'll turn it on.

IF you go into the Watch app on your iPhone, under the Workout settings, you can disable start and stop workout reminders...

Sorry for your experience but OS 5 is great on my S3 LTE.

The OS is still draining battery somewhere, I used to be at 80% by the end of the day, now I'm at 59%...

I’m at 62% after about 17-18 hours of wear including a couple of short workouts. I think that’s broadly where things were before give or take a few percent.
