Hi, I found a link to a website where it is explained how to make your mac use safe sleep instead of the regular sleep mode. I found this to be very interesting, I never have to reboot again now even though the mac is completely shut down, it only takes 7 seconds to load again, really nice.
But I have a problem though, I am using it on a pb 17", the rev. rifht before the new pb that had this feature. I had to enable it in the terminal with a few codes as explained on the site. The problem is that every few times I use the safe sleep mode it switches back to normal sleep mode( with the twinkling light) by itself. I always have to go back to the terminal and enable safe sleep again. And lately when I use safe sleep, upon waking up I no longer get that beautifull grey blurry screen, the screen is just black and then pops up again in color when the waking is finished.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Never mind the help, I found the awnser to my question. As it turns out safe sleep was introduced in october with the new pb, wich is the one I have. So didn't have to usr the crack, I just had to enable the hibernation, that's all. Now it works flawless and the grey screens back. Huray for me !😀
