I wonder how Apple’s planning to take Siri forward on HomePods and Apple Watches with limited NPU/RAM/storage/battery resources and with HomePod especially, a lack of access to personal data to contextualise the user’s questions.
I don’t think ‘Voice ID’ for user authentication could ever be as secure or reliable as Touch/Face/Optic ID.

I don't know about homepod but Watch connects directly to your iPhone so it should have access to all your data? And like how Apple has excluded all but the 2 most recent/expensive iPhones I expect not many Watch/Homepods will get all features.
The S9 and Ultra 2 are probably the only models that will get any AI stuff. Maybe they will off load the processing to your iPhone or do it in the cloud.
For all who are worried, there will be new iPhones and Apple Watch models coming soon which I'm sure will fully support all features lol. "Just buy a new iPhone/Watch lol" - Tim Cook.
