Just another pointless post but wow, this is the best console I've ever owned and the best launch title combo. I think I'm still early into Zelda's story and I'm currently just exploring. It's all I do in my free time now. In the living room it's me on the big TV, with my partner playing it on the Wii U gamepad with posh headphones - because she's ahead of me and wants to relive some of the cutscenes on the big TV
🙂
I love that they keep slapping on the quality, I don't want to spoil anything SO I WONT, but each location I visited had a little feature that impressed me.
Normally when I play big games I will also have a palate cleanser, usually a little indie high score game. But with this I don't need one. I've bought a few indie games on Switch but have barely played them.
Which brings me onto another thing! I've bought Snippetclips, Blaster Master, Shovel Knight, that fast racing game, and some Neo Geo games. Each title has been great. It's easily the best launch lineup I've seen. I understand there's a quantity issue for some but what is there is great. I wish I had enough for that I am Satsuma game, and even Voez looks good despite it not being a genre I've been interested in before. I would have been happy with SOME form of backwards compatibility, at least with VC titles, but no hum.
I'm all out of words at how impressed I am with the Switch. I've used each mode, and it was perfect for all of them. 2 players with the device sat at the kitchen table made me realise how versatile this will be once full fat multiplayer games are released. Handheld mode with that colourful giant screen is divine - the controls feel hefty unlike the Vita, but lighter than the Wii U. By the second day I was all in. I bought accessories, a spare USB-C cable to charge it from my battery pack, a case, neon coloured strap/bar things for my dull gray joycons.
My worry with Zelda is where do you go from here? I have a similar worry for GTA, heh. (Gosh I hope GTAV comes to Switch. With Steep and Skyrim, and a new Mario, Pokemon, all destined for it, I'm pretty excited for where this will go)
Oh! And I realised what I love about Breath of the Wild. Other post apocalyptic games are so dull and tired, everyone's grumpy. But in Zelda it's much more varied and interesting. I've never cared so little for those big console games as I do now.

Yeah, all those issues have reassured me that I can wait with a Switch until Super Mario is released. Hopefully they'll have fixed them by then.
How is the emotional side of the game? OoT had a *lot* of it, and that's part of why it is my favorite all time game. Also, is there loads of memorable tunes in it, similar to OoT? No spoilers thanks. 🙂
Oh very emotional. I know what you mean too! The games since then have dropped in terms of story punch. But it's back for Breath of the Wild. I won't say how it's achieved because I'm really against spoilers. Just go into it knowing the story is a classic.
