This year we've integrated Student Sunday into the activities of the conference; therefore, there will be no event on Sunday. Hear from the experts during the Student kickoff session, 'Getting the most out of WWDC' at 5:00 p.m., on Monday, June 11.

No student sunday. I already got tickets and a hotel room, could have saved money if I knew this. Guess I will go to a Giants game that Sunday now.

I do wish they said that just a tad earlier as well, but no huge loss :p

maybe we should do the macrumors meetup on that day ;)

Hi guys i might be having a little problem when i'm applying US Visa for WWDC.

there's a DS-157 form asking for 'contact in the U.S.' of the organization.

I can't find anything from Apple, e-mailed them 3 times since 3 weeks ago and no feedback, so i just google up the PR person of Developer Connection and his detail in.

any advices?

they better not forget to say yes or no. I have big decisions that I have to make tomorrow that are all contingent on this.

I've given up hope. I guess no email is being sent even if u didnt make it. Its been fun waiting for a response. I hope those of you going have a good time, I will be here on MR experiencing it all.

aww unlucky m8. youll have to put up with MR second rate coverage, or will engadget be saving our asses again?

Historically MR has given first rate coverage. Though no "high official" from MR will be there, I do recall Arn asking for any help for those that will be there.

I do wish I at least got an email saying I'm a loser instead of thinking they forgot or it somehow ended up in my garbage. just something.

Actually, don't give up hope just yet :(

Waiting list applicants will receive notification of application status by May 18 at 5:00 PM PDT.

No idea why your email said the 17th, but...

****....Well then I still have today to hope for. Good thing I only signed up for a normal Pre-Session class.

to be honest, the cost from London to Sanfransicso for WWDC is very high.

The flight cost me over £400, then it's the hotel booking, which likely to cost another £400 something , and the total expensive can round up to about £1000

thats near $2000 dollars.#

i'm still not sure wether its worth it.

I can go from Newark to Oakland for very cheap. Hotel would cost me $400. I was ready to go, but I think its safe to say that I'm not getting an email at this point.

Want to share a room? :D just kidding

edit: sigh, i should stop editing so much...anyway. There's a bunch of people on student-dev and maybe the occasional person on the facebook groups/events that might be looking for roommates.

If it's absolutely too expensive, you could look into hostels (SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper).
