Not all of the Rev. A's had noisy fans. Some did right out of the box, some did after a while, and some never have. So it's going to take a lot of people buying and using the new ones for a while before we can tell if the noise has been 100% fixed.mwatch said:
I just hope I can get it tomorrow - it would be quite cool to surprise my wife....but there are no guarantees and it will most likely require a second trip to Chicago.mwatch said:
I keep reading about how noisy the iMac's fans are in these forums and I have to say that I have never heard a fan in the 4 months I've had mine. I must not compute as strenuously as some others do.mwatch said:
I'm feeling pretty confident that they will ship tomorrow or Friday, as I think most Apple stores are expecting to have them by the weekend, or Monday at the latest. So unless they way underestimated the demand and simply don't have enough for everyone who ordered, I bet they will be on their way to us by the weekend.easy4lif said:ordered mine a couple hours after they were annouced. EDU market order still says Processing Order but I hope they a least ship it on the 6th like the site summary promises
Is that the same thing as "processing order", or does "order dispatched" come after? They use different terms in the UK than the US, apparently. Also, is this a new model 20" iMac, or did you get the old one on sale?autoycus said:"Order Dispatched" email has just arrived. 2-3 days quoted for delivery.
(That's a 20in G5, ordered on Tuesday)
Echo that.autoycus said:It's a new 20" 2GHz, and it's with TNT, the shipping company. Originally it said 5-7 days assembly, but they seem to have done it in two.
