Hello all, my name is Shaun and I'd like to help you out with your Podcaster issues, suggestion or improvements here.
As you probably know, Podcaster is the infamous app that was rejected from the App Store, canceled out of Ad-Hoc provisioning, went to Cydia, and has now got competition with Apple's firmware 2.2.

If you have any issues, suggestions, improvements, or anything to do with Podcaster, whether it be Ad-Hoc, Cydia, or regarding 2.2 FW, please post it here.
I'm very happy to help you all out!

well now that this is going to be free with fw 2.2, i don't see why i would buy this now.

That may be true, but it may not. Remember it's not hard fact yet. Rumours.

Also with the Apple implementation you'll be limited by what podcasts you can add, I.e Apple only adds casts to their database if they want to, and I doubt that there'll be a feed URL box.

We hope that Podcaster does not become redundant. We've worked hard on this app.
However, if it does become completely redundant, we'll be dropping iPhone development in favour of a very popular brand new mobile OS... *hint hint* :)

Sure, probably not worth $1.99, but still.

Still, $1.99 is a good buy!

If you know how to read you would know this is a new feature in 2.2 read the front page of MR there are screen shots. Sure you're limited to the podcasts on iTunes that is why they are called podcasts.

ill do the ad-hoc for .25cents

My apologies, but I don't understand you here? You'll do the ad hoc for 25c? If you are wanting the ad hoc version, unfortunately Apple blocked us out from doing that. We cannot do it anymore. Existing users before the block are unaffected, but we can't give any more spots out. The only way left is Cydia.

Also, if you're wanting the app for 25c, then sorry but we can't go that low. 1) The system doesn't support it, it doesn't like values that low, and 2) We process transactions by hand, and it takes time. Time is money. It's as low as we can go, sorry.

Thanks, but I can read. Else how would I be typing this? :)
Remember, it's not hard FACT yet. Anyone could photoshop this and "leak" it to MacRumors. I could probably do it easily in Photoshop, and I've only ever used it twice for a couple of the icons in Podcaster!!

I will stand corrected, however, that if by the time 2.2 is released, it is included, then you can "bag" me all you like! :)

Oh. Looks like I was real tired when I read them... I'll edit my posts so they comply with that rule.
Sorry guys.
