LOL...

Crossing my fingers for that G5 PowerBook...

(sorry, someone had to say it...)

fun times, hope to walk out of the Apple Store this weekend with a new Mini... :p

The nice thing about a new mini is the wife probably won't even notice. Now my new 24" LED ACD.... is another matter...

The Apple Korea site has been down for at least a couple of hours.

I predict no firewire on anythting, plus a surprise release of amazing iPhone socks. :D

edit: Oh, today's my birthday, so maybe they'll release something I'll actually want to buy (ie. mid-range tower or mini mac with decent spex).

Just a bump to tell you guys the Apple store is back up. Info about the 17" are on already, pretty quick!

Sigh... I was really hoping for a new Mac Pro. And Snow Leopard. The 17" is great, but I'm gonna wait for USB3, I think. I really need a new desktop computer.

My bet is on iLife '09 as well.
A few days ago, the new iLife suite was burned on DVD's en masse and should start shipping tomorrow.

I checked, the store is back up with no sign of iLife being there. The only mention of its presence is still as a pre-order. That being said, I am sill agreeing on it being released on monday, they could just be staged to change on Monday morning.

It's your birthday and you are looking for apple update news? Great!!!

I see folks have experienced the midnight maintenance phenomenon.:p

There is one change though. A mix up.

iLife 09' shows single user only. It's a typo though.

The Mac Pro might be Core i7....

Fake. The Nehalem Mac Pro is Gainestown, not Core i7.

You mean "not Bloomfield" instead of "not Core i7".

Until Intel announces the chip, the marketing name is unknown. They could decide to use "Core i7" as the name, or "Core i7 DP" or "Core i7 Server" or "Core i7 Pro" or "Xeon i7" or.....

(Note that both mobile and desktop used "Core 2 Duo", even though they were different chips with different codenames.)

You're right; they haven't picked a name yet. Whatever. :p It's Gainestown.
