As tomorrow grows closer, and all sources are not speculating, but saying that there will be iPhones in Europe, I wonder why I am so exited that it is coming when I live in the US. Well, I think that it is just the fact that there is much that could happen (but probably won't), yet I am exited. Who else feels this?

Well its about time the UK had an uber cool Apple event. I seem to be forever waiting to see what is going to be unveiled stateside - nice to be at the centre of it for a change.

I work just round the corner from the regent st apple store. I'm going to go round in the afternoon and full expect to see iPhones on sale. Sadly I'm broke and my phone contract runs till march so I can't buy one (probably)...

Also I'm really really hoping that "One more thing" will be the release date for Leopard.

Well, for one...

It sure would be the perfect place to announce new iPhone software features. 😀

Hey Gus.Why not make a poll out of this topic.
Are you going to stay up for the London announcement.
Yes or No.
😉

I just want our friends across the pond to have iPhones...and I want that damn WiFi store! 😉

Ok, just say Yes/No to if you are going to watch the event. Sorry, I had problems with putting in HTML and so I just gave up.😀😀😀

maybe there were sleeper updates in that new version of itunes that are magically going to kick on at 5am and bring new joy to my iphone? i can hope.

I feel the same way. I'm happy that the Brits are getting the iPhone, it widens the customer base, thus giving us all more support (the more product there is in the field, the more support a company will put behind it). Besides, why shouldnt they have it? Its a great product... we can share! 😉 Rock on :apple: , now go stand in line for 11 hours like I did... haha 😉

Upadates Please!

Agreed, and... it would be nice to see some updates already & added features!
(The iPhone is great, but lots of room for software improvement and additions)

O2 must've *really* overpaid for the iphone to get Jobs and Schiller to come over and announce something so (relatively) minor. Color me disappointed 🙁

Not sure why you guys were so excited, it's a complete non-event for us in the UK.

30% EDGE coverage at launch, no 3G, poor network carrier, no MMS.

O2 are reported to be making a loss on the iPhone initially according to one paper I read because of the concessions they agreed to with Apple.

I think a lot of people will be standing by waiting for v2 with 3G next year. Steve has completely misunderstood the UK market. It won't be the success he thinks it will be.
