Yeah, it is hard for me to get into new shows, and I tend to rewatch shows I have seen many times. Sometimes when I give a new show a try, a few episodes in, I give up on it and start watching a show that I have already seen.
A new one that I just started to watch is a little different than the normal crap out there, Outer Range on Prime Video. I am not done the first season, but so far seems good.
I also recently watched an older show that I watched when it aired on USA Network back in 2004, called 'The 4400'. I watched the first two seasons when it aired, but missed the third season.
The 4400 lasted 4 seasons, but was ultimately cancelled due to a writers' strike. There has been petitions to bring the show back with the original cast for a 5th season for almost a decade, with rumors of it coming back every once in a while. CW ended up rebooting the show, starting fresh, but that ended up being a turd and was cancelled during its first season.
It seems like to me that there is only a few writers that write most of the storylines in modern TV. They just copy and paste plots and stories from one show to the next.
Why is that?
I will give it try when I am done Outer Range.
