The old USB for a clean reinstall

I just realised that you no longer get that little USB in the manual to clean install your macbookair if you want to, I dont know if you got them in the 2011 models either, how come?
How would you go about doing this now?

see "internet recovery". Basically, it will download the installer and install the OS for you whenever you want to reinstall. All you need is Wifi.

With the release of Lion, no Mac gets reinstallation media. You use Internet Recovery or the Recovery partition to restore your machine.
