Seriously it is the dullest most boring color on the black phone. It's not silver, it's not black, it's just middle gray. I wish they did gold.

I kinda agree, I wish we could get the black front with the silver back and maybe even the gold back. The bands should have been black too
Personally I do kind of regret getting the gold. I wish I had gone for either Silver or space gray.
I still think the BEST color combination was the iPhone 5's slate/black. I'd pay extra to get that on a 6.

Me too. I could deal with the possibility of scratching. What's the point of a finish that doesn't scratch if it's as boring as space gray

If the screen on the 6 is as easy to swap as the screen on the 5, you could buy the Gold 6 and wait until they start selling the screens at ifixit or ebay. Then buy a black 6 screen and swap it out.
Sure, it's an extra $50 to $100 for the screen, but you'd have a unique iPhone6 and you could probably sell the original screen for a few bucks.
