Tim made his intent crystal clear in his opening remarks. The Apple Card. They have reached an agreement with Goldman Sachs to make the Apple Card FAMILY inclusive. It is no surprise then that this new iMac is aimed like an arrow at families. Watch for commercials showing kids going nuts over the colors. It is what it is...the iMac Pro will appear soon enough.

I think an "iMac Pro" would have to wait until Apple had an M2 processor (or whatever they will call the next one up after M1.)

They might not ever have a "pro" version of a Mac again. Doing so means Apple would have to develop an expensive higher-performance chip for use only on a low-volume product. I can't see them doing that. I think they just will always have one chip for use in all Macs and iPad Pros. Hence no more high-end Macs.

They most definitely will develop a high performance Mx ... and it will be used in the Mac Pro. The new iMac almost assures us there will be an iMac Pro too.

We have the Apple Cards and it seems like a great idea to combine credit limits and share with our kids.

But no - I don't think I'd want my kids to order an iMac or any device without my approval....

I'll keep the Apple Card separate and in control....

BTW I am pre-ordering the new M1 iMac but have not see a pre-order sticky yet ??

What they did with Apple Card is truly revolutionary for the finance industry. it is nice that Apple is in the finance business ... I think we will see some great innovations. This is just the beginning.

I love my Apple Card. I treat it just like an American Express! I use it for everything, earn cash and pay it off every month.
