What are you talking about? The 13" RMBP weighs 3.48 pounds. The RMB weighs 2.03 pounds. That's not half a pound. That's a pound and a half. Some things that pound and a half are:

Hi BJ if you'd read the thread of the discussion I was involved in, we were discussing the macbook air not the rMB. All of my information for the Air was correct. My point was to all those moaning that there wasn't a retina air (a major theme of this thread in case you didn't notice), that there is no need for one with the rMBP being a better computer of smaller size and only slightly heavier weight than the Air.

LOL, oops, sorry about that. I read it as a comparo between the two retinas (RMB vs RMBP) and not involving the Air. I get it now. Edited the original post.

Agree you have the portability of the rMB and the power of the rMBP the MBA is surplus and I'm hoping its just dropped....

Clearly it will be. Or, like the iPhone 5C, it'll become the "budget" notebook for the Chinese market.

Well you're carrying it for a reason, and it's not heavy.

If you want the power, you're going to get a bigger device. I don't know what's so hard about that.
 
It's a great little machine. Perfect as an ultra portable

My only negatives are the price and apple offering overpriced accessories due to the one port.

The trackpad, it's a gimmick as far as I am concerned.
