So this is an issue that I have been facing since the beginning of buying this M1 MBA.

Basically, when I am using Touch ID to authenticate and log back into the computer, the screen flickers by turning off for less than a second and I am logged back in. However, this is not something that happens all the time. It happens occasionally. I have attached a screen recording of the behavior.

I have also attached a second screen recording of a Youtuber's video (GregsGadgets) where he was talking about the M1 MBA, where I noticed the same behavior in his computer too. Take a look at that to better understand the situation.

This behavior seems to exist in all macOS versions that this machine supports; Big Sur, Monterey & Ventura. I have done everything to ensure that it is not my hardware that is the issue, by running Apple Diagnostics in Recovery, and I have reinstalled the OS multiple times through clean reinstallations and not just by using the Erase All Contents option. So please do help me if you know what seems to be going on here. All advice is appreciated.

Sorry, I must be blind as I do not see what you're trying to describe....just changes from a fingerprint login screen to your desktop screen.

I see that on Intels, due to the video card switching from discreet to built in video mode. But not on M1s.
