Like most of us, I’m sure, I rely on the search function in notes and in messages. I’ve noticed the past couple of weeks or so it doesn’t work. I’ll put in a word or a series of words that normally would give me a bunch of answers, both in notes and in my messages. And I invariably get “no search results found.” And this is definitely not true. I can put in my email user Wi-Fi username. And it says no results found. And that’s absolutely not true. I have my username all over my notes.

Is this just me or is something actually broken?

I thought about this. I’ve been deleting photos and messages. No change yet, but I’m ever hopeful. Thank you. IOS 26.5. 256 GB with 93.63 GB left.

Hm. Spotlight? I’m not sure but the problem is back. I’ll be in messages text and type a word or name. Immediately it says no matches. If I wait for 30-60 seconds I’ll get results. It says it needs to do indexing. I’ve deleted a lot of texts and photos. It worked for awhile.

Did you get iOS 27 beta in any way ?
