The Series 7 is AMAZING!!!

So I just upgraded to the Series 7 yesterday. 45mm product(RED) with the dark pride band. I freaking love this thing. I am basically coming from the Series 3 (used a Series 5 for a couple of days, wasn't much of a fan). The screen is big and vibrant, watch faces show so much info, and holy crap with the health features!! I mean this thing did a SLEEP STUDY on me last night.

I know I'm not saying anything that anyone else doesn't already know, just sharing my excitement and satisfaction!

Glad you like it! what kind of apps or details did you get for the “sleep study?” . I use one called Autosleep , it’s decent but i often wonder about its accuracy. Still, I appreciate its detailed sleep info.

Apple Health, the series 7 has a Sleep app! I'm not sure how accurate it is. and yes, I know I slept like crap!

Yeah, going from a 42mm Series 3 to the big 45mm would be a huge jump. Getting access to all the new Watch faces is also exciting.

Ahh sweet! I think I had heard they were going to add REM sleep but I don’t have the updated Watch OS. I wonder can non-developer non-tech-savvy people get the update ? I figured I can wait til Sept/Oct for whenever they release it but, it looks great. I have some googling to do… Enjoy!

For anyone else interested. Perhaps I’m late to the party Looking forward to the new sleep tracking stuff! I have been wearing an old Fitbit on my other wrist just to have the REM sleep breakdown, seems like Apple Watch will now do the same thing. Stoked!

The current sleep app is not too detailed. However watchOS 9 is gonna improve on that by introducing REM, Core and Deep Sleep stages. That unlocks another set of capabilities on the S7. It’ll feel like an all new watch from Apple. I can’t wait for this feature to appear in the public release in September.

I always use Pillow on my AW7 - seems pretty good. Advises an optimal time for bed based on your sleeping patterns plus daily and weekly sleep quality charts etc and auto-engages. No need for me to upgrade to Premium either as this free version does enough for me.

so tempted to get one this week. My Series 3 has done me fine and up til now i couldnt persuade myself, but thats two weeks in a row the battery hasnt lasted a full round of golf and thats one of my main uses for it.

just cant decide whether to hang on for series 8.... or get an SE... or wait for the new SE.... so confused...

@antisomnic If you’re like me when it comes to usage level, you may realize that you don’t need a Battery complication anymore. The battery life is insane compared to Series 3 and earlier, and the charge notifications are enough to help you keep it charged for sleep tracking. The fast charging is also super impressive on my 6, and I can’t imagine how fast it is on the 7.

they all have good battery life for the first year or 2, as usual with every device it will go downhill fast unfortunately.
