Here is what I have... a MBPro installed with Mavericks, a USB flash drive and a EL CAPITAN installation file. What is the simplest way to install the OSX on the MacBookPro using the above?

Is this a "trick" question.

I agree.
(You DID ask for the simplest way to install, correct?)
Copy the El Capitan installer app to your Applications folder, double-click and follow the directions.
Keep your original copy, as the installer app will delete itself from the Applications folder when the install is complete.
