the simplest way to install an OS

Here is what I have... a MBPro installed with Mavericks, a USB flash drive and a EL CAPITAN installation file. What is the simplest way to install the OSX on the MacBookPro using the above?

Just copy the El Cap installer to the MBP and double click and follow the prompts to install.

I agree.
(You DID ask for the simplest way to install, correct?)
Copy the El Capitan installer app to your Applications folder, double-click and follow the directions.
Keep your original copy, as the installer app will delete itself from the Applications folder when the install is complete.
