Plug and play and just works

Why is this any better than the hundreds of options already out there? Unless you meant to link to their Thunderbolt SSD enclosure?

If you're talking about the M13 Turbo SSD, then it reads more like disassemble, plug & play at a slower speed than you expected as your older iMac doesn't support anything above 700mbps...so why pay a premium for this when you could just buy their M13 Standard?

They also say the drives come pre-loaded with MacOS (albeit only 10.13.6) - which is against Apple's rules.

Personally, the Samsung T5's and Sandisk Extreme's I have work 'perfectly' for me. They are USB-C, quick, 1-2TB without being too too expensive for me and very small.
IF, you need it to be portable, and I do, then the small size is more a need. If it was going to be stuck to that 1 machine forever, I may go with a different option, but I've never really had an issue with an external drive not working.

If you knew anything about replacing a SSD inside this is the cheapest and most straight forward option possible and you get a sub stock with the os if needed..... but hey it’s against apples dukes right? And you know better right?? As this is a legit company that makes plenty of SSD for macs that don’t use any adapters and plug directly into mac

if you did your google it would know, clearly each mac has its own SSD vertion but that’s the company that makes it easier compared to others with adapters and other bs.

But hey don’t like don’t buy

no it’s not against any rules man, comes on a usb stick , since some Macs might need a firmware update or their drives are completely shot.

for average user this is the way to go

This looks like a normal M.2 NVMe SSD with a Snitch adapter...

No adapters required exact connected as the macs ver of the drive

That pics has to be old with adapter you saw in the website the ones I got didn’t have any adapter at all was a direct plug and looked exactly like oem maybe at first they used adapter or something.

anyway it is what it is

Cool down, man!

The one on their website (screenshot) is a normal NVMe SSD with a standard M.2 plug mounted into an M.2 to Apple adapter. Interesting if that indeed is an older version, but then again why wouldn't they update their website, since they would be the only ones besides OWC?

Do you have a picture of yours?

I do not, I got mine last week. I didn’t even know they had an adapter till just not that you pointed it out. Idk maybe updated info is coming soon on their site.

anyway works great 👍 just throwing it out in case people want something that just works

New company in Birmingham, Alabama. Never heard of them but they sell them via Amazon. Good to have another option. I'd be wondering if they'll be around to honor a three-year warranty. It's a 2019 startup.

One Amazon reviewer said:
Underneath the Stickers, it's simply an Intel NVMe SSD with an Adapter converting to Apple SSD

I don't know if that's true or not.

Website says:
All Fledging drives are assembled in Birmingham, Alabama

Does "assembled" mean putting an adapter and sticker on it and boxing?

Also, they say:
All drives come pre-loaded with High Sierra 10.13.6

That's nice…but is you-know-who OK with that?

when you call them, they actually pick up the phone the customer support is great. I was told they manufacture these drives in house. The install kit comes with a USB stick that has the OS on it and you return the kit. If you keep it’s $100 charge

I didn’t need the kit and my drive came blank. So unless something was done before where it was reploaded I don’t know, mine was black I did my own install via Internet

Also the reason why you need the os with these drives is because some macs. Wes firmware update to work with latest SSD drives

Also their website said since 2016 they been making products and not 2019 startup like someone else said.

many way you guys have enough information. I installed mine works fine and price was good that’s all I know.

Nobody's making SSDs in Alabama. This company is definitely pre-assembling a drive and an adapter then, in violation of Apple's licensing terms, distributing a copy of macOS on it.

I didn't google anything, I use the link YOU PROVIDED.

YOU SAID it was plug & play - but failed to mention anything about pulling your iMac apart to fit it - that's why I assumed it was a thunderbolt solution (i.e. truly PLUG & PLAY).

YOU SAID it came pre-loaded with MACOS - then backtracked to say it's not, but comes with an optional USB stick with it on!!!

You sound more like a shill than a true customer.

£80 for 256GB? ha ha ha ha, only an idiot would by from them.

You need a NGFF M.2 adapter to fit to an Apple product.

Couldn't be more of a two-bit joke operation.

DimaVR, if you are their press officer, you should be fired.

Plug and play and just works
I just put a Sabrent Rocket NVME 1TB into a Fledgling Shell Thunder and connected it to my iMac via Thunderbolt 3 and I'm getting 1900 write and 1000 read.
