Today, for the first time, I encountered a new bug with the Stage Manager (Ventura 13.3). While browsing files in the Finder, I had one big folder opened (in list mode), and made a get info on a file located on the desktop. When I click on the file's icon, the info window goes out to the left edge of the screen, while I'm still in the Finder! If I bring back the info window, it's the open folder which disapears to the left side! WTF!??

I closed the Stage Manager, and reopened it a few minutes later. This weird behaviour appears to be gone (unable to reproduce it). But I still don't understand how this SM is supposed to work. If I click on the desktop background (while staying in the Finder), I'm getting some SM "motion" that I don't understand (some window from another app appears into view). If I'm in another app, and then click on the desktop background to bring the Finder to the front, I don't get any Finder's window.

The Stage Manager is inconsistent and unpredictable. What gives, Apple?

It seems only 2 recent apps are now able to be displayed on the left side after recent update before Stage manager decide to hide them all to the left side. Wow..

Here
I just think they made the wrong choice with the fact that all new applications or windows toss everything on-screen out to the sidebar. I feel like it should default to having windows on screen unless you move them to the sidebar like spaces. Merging windows/applications into a single space/stage feels clunky.

The Stage Manager is unpredictable. I often get only two apps showing on the left side, and get 5 at other times (like right now). Why the SM shows a variable number of apps on the left? I can't even predict which apps will be shown on the left side, so the SM becomes unusable. It's inconsistent!

And clicking the desktop background doesn't even get me the Finder's windows! The background becomes useless...

Is it really the way it's supposed to work, or is it simply buggy?? The ST seems like a piece of garbage to me.

I don't even use the stage thing at all, just the dock. I use stage manager like spaces for the lazy

Even when the SM is OFF, clicking on the desktop background doesn't bring the Finder windows to the front. Why? Is there a way to change that Ventura behavior?

completely crazy .. now all of the sudden is back to 6 .. so I was 5, 2 with the behavior of sliding outside of screen, 6 without behavior of hiding, 6 with behavior of sliding...

this is like some Indian 5$ development..
