We were all excited with the implementation of GPS on the second edition of the Apple Watch but here is my take, having GPS on a smart watch should NOT be limited to just one app (NRC) and everything else is irrelevant or immune to GPS. Maybe I am being pushy or impatient but GPS on most smart watches are not limited to just one app but an array of different apps or maybe other functions where the use of GPS comes in. Apple needs to expand that function or it just might fall of the cliff where the Apple watch no longer can innovate and compete with its rivals.

And nobody says they won't. It's a new implementation that will likely expand, just as the Apple Watch itself is evolving.

What Apple function or app do you want GPS added to? It is 3ed parties that need to get going?

It works on gaia gps. I don't think apple has any problem here.

It is not up to Apple it is up to the developers who have been slow to produce decent apps.
