The stupidet question ever

Dear all

This is probably the stupidest question ever posted. I am new to Mac & I keep hearing about Tiger & Panther & have no idea which one I am running.

When I click on it tells me I use 10.4.10 is this tiger or panther or may be something else??

Any Variant of Mac OS X 10.4.X is called Tiger. So you are running Tiger.
Mac OS X 10.3 was called Panther,10.2 was Jaguar, etc.

Any flavor of 10.4 (10.4.10 is the most recent version) is code-named Tiger.

10.4 is known as Tiger. The latest update is .10, thus 10.4.10 (it's "ten", not "one zero").

10.3 was Panther, .2 Jaguar
