With Safari (macrumors forum) open in one window and the Twitter app open in a small window, I get incredible stuttering when slowly scrolling through Twitter.

My iPhone 6S Plus does not stutter in this way. I've also noticed other stuttering occurring at random times. I'm not even doing anything intensive; only basic browsing and looking at photos, etc.

Is anyone else having this issue? Please try it and let me know.
I hope this can be fixed in a software update, as I love the new iPad pro other than this problem!

I just got mine a few minutes ago; no stuttering or slowdowns that I can see with Safari (right now) and Mail open on the side. I decided to set it up as a new device rather than restore so I don't think there's a lot going on in the background at the moment.

Did you try doing a restore to see if that helps? did you uninstall twitter to see if safari still stutters? Maybe its twitter or another app that is causing the issue?

Mine does the same thing. It reminds me of when I used to use the DIGG app. It would do the same thing. I'm assuming a software update should fix as it certainly has the hardware to be smooth.

I wouldn't describe as incredible stuttering though, just slight.

I don't follow you. Are you able to open the Twitter app in a small window on your 6s Plus to compare? It's reasonably clear this is a Twitter app issue.

Try repeating the same test on iPad Air 2. Wonder if it's from dropping back down to dual-core SoC, 30/60Hz panel refresh circuitry fault or just app incompability on new hardware.

Everyone knows Twitter needs at least eight cores and 8GB of RAM. ;)

I had Safari (MacRumors forum) and Tweetbot running side-by-side along with Hulu playing a South Park episode in a PiP window earlier and everything was still running as smooth as I would expect. I can't see why you're experiencing issues.

I just got back from the Apple Store in Philadelphia and noticed the same thing as the OP. i would open one app and then slide over the window for the second app. But when I tried to pull down from the top of the screen, to invoke the list of apps for the second window, there was a substantial delay before they would drop down, and then they would stutter into the window. I tried this sequence on three iPad Pros and got the same result on all of them.

That said, everything was smooth once I had two open windows on the screen.

I do hope this is an iOS issue that can be resolved. I have an Air 2 and do not have the delay/stutter (running iOS 9.1).
