Going directly from an iPad 0 to an iPad 5....this is gonna be epic.
I know it will be worth the wait.
I might upgrade my Etch - A - Sketch to a new iPad 5 when they're released!!!

I also never had an ipad and I'm really tempted to grab a 5 when it launches but, between my laptop and phone, I just don't think I'll have a real use for it.
Maybe I'll just buy one and try it out for a month or so, then I'll give it to my mom for Christmas if I don't find a use for it.![]()

Then the games started - dumb games like restaurant story, bakery story, farm story, you name it. These damned games have taken over my life and when I wake up at 3AM, the first thing I think to do it collect money from my stores, bake something, plant something... damn, I play these games AT WORK!
What gets me is how they try to charge you for imaginary stuff. I know of people who have gone broke from buying a lot of nothing; It could be anything. For instance, I just started playing Angry Birds (fun BTW, even though it's really violent), and if your unskilled at it (like me) they try to charge you for bombs, $3.00!
In app purchase for ammunition?
And that's just the tip of the iceberg, apparently.
People that do this should be publicly executed. (Then we could bet on that)

One thing I've been very good at was making sure to not pay even a penny for anything. Games like candy crush that give you 5 lives and have you wait or pay for another life; restaurant story et al that try to get you to buy jewels and have these traps that steal your jewels...
These games are so addictive. I've not yet played angry birds and maybe that's a good thing. I feared it'll be like that messed up game Carmageddon where you run people over with cars and watch blood and guts all over your screen.![]()

Carmageddon is awesome. Few things give as much joy as running over people and animals and watch the blood squished out of them. Also, the humongous jumps in the air are great as well.
I never really felt the need for an iPad and Ive seen it go from an idea to a pretty fine tuned product that can handle a ******** of stuff.
But if Im being honest I plan to use it for one main activity...reading.
Surfing and working I do on my laptop, dont play games or like to Facebook/tweet at all. Movies I like to watch on a big screen.
I have a kindle that is great for reading but the damn thing feels ancient and is a monotone device. I like the idea of subscribing to magazines as it will be cheaper and the new screens should make books and mags look better.
Those are my (pretty thin) reasons for wanting to own one.
Are there any things you never thought you'd do on an ipad but then ended up doing after you started using one...that is one area i cannot discount.
