The tab to resize split view disappears sometimes?

Often times when I am in split view mode, the tab that lets you resize the right window disappears and I am unable to close or resize the window until I leave the apps and re open one of them.

Is there another way to handle this?

Wait. Are you sure you're not using split view in safari vs split SCREEN with other apps? There's a difference

Definitely doing split view with Safari and another app. The right side with the app switcher ends up losing the tab so I can't drag that window away...

I've never had the tab handle disappear but I know that some apps will only let you do a 1/3 split while others allow up to 1/2 of the screen.

Let's all make sure we don't confuse slideover with split screen. Only in split screen one can adjust the window size, I think.
