I’m watching The Three Body Problem on Netflix for the second time, it’s outstanding, so outstanding, I’d like to ask anyone’s opinion who has read the book, as far as how different is that from the TV series in tempo, and how good it it?
As I ask this I just read this link which goes into detail, the book and Netflix series is quite different. It is set in the UK instead of China, except the primary character does start in China to see her father brutalized during the Cultural Revolution and triggers the main event that follows.
Spoilers: It’s an Alien invasion story. https://screenrant.com/3-body-problem-show-book-changes-differences/
So if you’ve seen and read both, how do you think they compare? I give the series a solid thumbs up.
Season 2 estimated to air in 2026.

Scientists are killing themselves. World wide, particle accelerators have gone wonky. A mysterious highly advanced video game is used to recruit followers to the cause of an unseen threat. The characters are all compelling. What I like mostly about this story is it is grounded on Earth facing this threat which includes humans who feel compelled to act as traitors to their species based on a belief that the change they are enabling is necessary, because we are beyond saving ourselves. If you watch Episode one, you might question or understand, why despite a dire warning, a main character makes the decision she does.

3 Body Problem has been renewed for more episodes, but when will they arrive on Netflix?
