Will it end before the holidays?? Will there be enough on store shelves for everyone?? Or will the demand be too high? Will they be selling for insanely high prices on ebay weeks before Christmas?

I see amazon has them but they are selling for $199:eek:

I was lucky and was able to pick a couple up as soon as they were released.

What are you prediction for the so called "Must Have" toy of the year...The TMX Elmo!

Aww cmon! These things ooze coolness in a internet-craze type of way.

I'd like to buy one, smear it with gelatinized gasoline and light it ablaze. :)
HAHAHAHahahaha

I think it's hilarious...but I'm sure it can get annoying fast.

You have to admit its pretty amazing though...its like a little person rolling on the floor in hysterics!

When it's all said and done, you'll be able to get an iPod for cheaper, and not because Apple announces a price drop.

Madness.
I've got one for sale in the marketplace if anyone wants to trade me an iPod:D

I wish....well maybe a few weeks before Christmas!

I just saw on my local news channel that someone threatened a guys life because the guy beat him to the Elmo doll. Seriously, Elmo is stupid. Just buy your kid an iPod. :p

What I have yet to discern is what makes these things so bloody special. You press a button and it laughs. Is that it?

I hope the parents enjoy the search, because they will be spending more time on their quest for Elmo than the brat will playing with the fuzzy little money pit.

"The latest Elmo has "tickle spots" on its chin, tummy and foot. When a child tickles Elmo once, the doll laughs, slaps his leg, falls down into a sitting position and then stands up while laughing. The second time Elmo is tickled, the doll repeats that pattern, but then falls backward and starts kicking his feet while laughing. It then stands up and asks to be tickled again."

Yeah they are pretty extreme:D

Check out a video on YouTube. Quite Hilarious!

I got one for our son who will be 18 months at Christmas time. They are sweet. My wife thinks I am a jerk for talking about waiting until closer to Christmas and throwing it up on ebay because I am sure they will be worth more by then. She has a point that it is against the Christmas spirit and all (I agree). but hopefully she might change her mind when she sees how incredibly ridiculous some people are in their pursuit to constanly please their kids.

I wouldn't do it. Especially if it is for your own Son it isn't worth the risk. I think the prices of these are going to go to insane amounts in the next couple months. Just hang onto it...It's not worth the 100$ some odd dollars now to sell...Keep it for Your Boy!

I don't plan on it. It will be fun watching him play with it.
We just feel bad for the kids who really want one and weren't able to get one. At the local store here in town they got 8 in and a lady bought 7 of them (obviously going on ebay). I think that is unfair.

I'd never even heard of it before this thread and now I want to get one for my grandson.

Isn't it bad enough that MR makes us want every new Apple product when they come out (or before they come out) without branching out into toy lust as well.

I fail to see why this thing is worth all the grief and inflated prices...just like the first "ebay-me Elmo" doll.

They are going crazy on ebay...there is more than one ending every minute and they still are no where near msrp.

Wait a second. Didn't this whole "gotta have an Elmo doll" phase/trend/mass hysteria thing happen a few years ago?

Yeah...10 years ago in 1996 when it first came out. This is the 10th anniversary Elmo:rolleyes:
