I used to watch Jay but now i watch Letterman and Ferguson (good thing too, Craig is hilarious) instead of giving Jay any kind of support. Needless to say, i'll be watching Coco on TBS come November, even if 11 is a little early.

I'm surprised that Leno is doing worse than Conan. Then again, I don't watch any of the late night talk shows.

yeah Daily Show is usually the first priorty for me but i may start catching the replays once he starts back up.

I have always preferred Letterman over Leno, but Craig is king. He seems genuinely funny. I don't know about the rest of them, but Conan was the only one who was even close to Craig.

I think Craig's strong point is that he can make a well rehearsed monologue sound like its completely spontaneous. Its like like Leno, Letterman, or even OBrien who have good jokes, but are obviously very meticulously planned out. Craig just makes everything seem really natural, like he is talking to you in a bar or something, not on a stage at his show.

I actually think much of Craig's monologue is spontaneous, I remember reading somewhere that he comes up with a rough outline of what it will be and fills it in as he goes, it's not completely scripted and read off cue cards like the other guys, which is what makes him so great.

You're correct. He talks about this in his book, "American On Purpose" (which is an excellent audiobook, by the way, since it is narrated by Craig himself).

I don't know if the network or Leno forced or left out Conan but it sure did make both NBC and Leno look bad.

Rock on Conan! I don't really like TBS but maybe that'll change.
