Hello, I wish to share with you a really strange issue. One I haven't found any other accounts of. I bought my Macbook Pro (Late 2008) in January. Windows is fully up to date as are all of my drivers including the updated trackpad driver, original realtek and nvidia drivers. Minimal and trusted apps are used. All issues unless specifically mention are under Bootcamp. The issue is if i touch the trackpad whilst for example playing a youtube video it will show video corruption in the form of bit of green blobs and black lines in the video and the audio will start to squeak and crackle. It will also crash firefox. It will crash the game Trials2:SE after the audio stops and the game jams up. I also see the video corruption in the background video of Company of Heroes in game main menu. These are the main examples. The video and audio corruption as well as audio crashing also previously happened in VLC on OSX, not any more. Im not sure if this is related but sometimes I have to plug in and then out headphones after booting into XP or OSX to get sound from the speakers. Also the trackpad is a nightmare to use as it is way to sensitive to touch and right clicking doesn't behave normally, it right and left clicks if clicked (not tapped.) This laptop has other issues like backlight bleed, that common LED screen issue that can be seen on a black picture and the keyboard imprinted and a lid that doesn't sit flush. Aswell as a defective shift key!! I know the obvious thing is to return it but I am currently housebound and trying to explain these issues over the phone to a non-native british english speaker will make it even harder. I also don't intend ever sending my laptop in with my hdd (i'd pop the original back in.) Thanks for listening sorry if this issue has come up before I have been searching for it to no avail.
