42mm SS + Milanese Loop

I am torn between

the 42mm space grey sport with Black Band $399

the 42mm SS with Black Buckle $699

I will probably go sport, since the SS is a bit too much at $699

but still time to make up my mind

Wanted the Space Black but even though I can afford it no problem, I cannot justify it in my head.

£949 (UK) for a steel watch is crazy.

Will reluctantly go for the Sport in Space Grey with black band.

Same here.

The only thing that would push me - maybe - to getting the Space Black SS is whether, when version 2 comes along, I can simply purchase a Space Black v2 Watch without a strap and reuse the black link bracelet. If I knew with any certainty I could do that, getting 2+ years out of the link bracelet would make it worthwhile for me.

Equally, I'm still on the fence re: 38 or 42mm. I've medium-ish wrists, typically wear a 42mm watch. Without seeing it, I feel the :apple:Watch will look quite bulky irl and going for the smaller size may negate that. Equally, in the scenario I painted above re: two years of usage, my decision now will have to carry over.

Hmm.

Is the band included in the cost of each style watch? Does stainless watch cost include $149 buckle band, for instance? Or does it just come with sport band?

I am getting the least expensive Apple watch because I know when the next generation comes out I will want it. So Apple Sport 38mm with the white band for my first one, then I will splurge and get the SS and link bracelet that I really like for my next one.

Love the rose gold with red band, but would never pay that much for a watch. :)

I'm leaning towards getting a SS again, maybe the not black one.

I remembered this morning I had a small win on the lottery a couple of weeks ago and put it by to go towards the Apple Watch
Brings the normal SS down to around £600.

Easier to swallow.

With the black I think I might be a bit precious with it, worrying that I may mark it. Minor scratches won't show so much on the plain steel one.
