Hi All :)

I am creating this list primarily to help people who do not want to spend at least $200 for a thunderbolt dock, and would like to connect minimum cables to their mac.
I hope this will help you :)
If you are interested in something here, please read about it and make sure it is reliable.

SHOULD WORK
  1. Choetech Link $20 4k@60hz + 60W PD
  2. Anker. Link $24 4k@60hz
  3. Belkin. Link. $50 4k@60hz
MAYBE WORK
  1. Oinex Link $22 4k@60hz + USB 2.0 + 60W PD
WILL NOT WORK
  1. Club3D Link $60 4k@60hz + USB 2.0 + 60W PD
  2. Accel* Link $64 4k@60hz + USB 2.0 + 60W PD
*According to Club3D their adapter will not work with a MBP, it looks identical to Accel's adapter.

Notes:
I hope that this list will get populated over time with your help.
We will try adding adapters/docks/cables which can be arguably better or add more functionality to the adapters that are already here, rather than trying to find them all.
Budget thunderbolt adapters and docks are most welcomed.

Hey, if you find any budget thunderbolt dock please add it here and I will add it to the list.
It will add extra ports as the usb-c adapters here are most probably maxed out (they can't even have a usb 3.0 port for example).

Why you people need a hub for 4k 60hz when one cable you can do the same and also you can used with multiple devices.

USB C to HDMI Cable(4K@60Hz), uni USB Type-C to HDMI Cable

and get a minihub for usb and sd card and thats all.

A cable is easy to come across I use this one....

However with a USB C Hubs typically sacrifices 4k60hz (due to limitations in bandwidth, cost, HDMI versions). 4k60hz over HDMI is a niche market aside from enthusiast (displayport would be preferred professionally typically due to the limitations of HDMI). In my experience and maybe a defective product but even cables using HDMI 4k60 get warm at the ends while the hubs get HOT at least compared to TB3. And killed the battery.

I use 30hz typically since it doesn't effect my workload. If one required 4k60hz I would consider a TB3 hub with Displayport. Then if you need HDMI you can get a cheap DP to HDMI cord. However with HDMI out its trickier to convert back up to DP.

I like the concept of this thread though. Nice to see what is out there!

Thanks :)
My display does not support DisplayPort.

I am worried about the cables getting hot in the ends - I do not want to damage my expensive TV or my MBP.
1. How hot it is? (too hot to touch?)
2. I understand that a USB hub will get warm too, but will the ends be warm too?

Thanks :)
EDIT: By the way it is getting hot because there is a chip converting the USB-C signal to HDMI, the USB-C signal is a DisplayPort and not the same as HDMI; I hope that there is indeed a display port to HDMI 2.0 adapter without a chip so it won't get warm, but if it was that simple why would there be a need for such chip in the first place?
