Last week I order the iPhone 13 because my iPhone X was having more and more trouble accessing screen elements. Case in point was the New York Times of which I'm a subscriber. For the last 3-4 months, despite more than a few OS 14.x upgrades, I found that I could not scroll the Home page of the Times nor access any of its other pages. Well, OS 15 fixed all that!

I'm still kinda glad to be upgrading but I probably would have waiting for iPhone 14 if the X had been behaving better under OS 14.

These stories always remind me how few new features I use. I hear people complaining that Apple isn't innovating enough, but I feel like I've stopped using new features about 5 years ago. That's not entirely true, but certainly if I need to memorize some hidden gesture then I'm not using it.

I guess that's why I update hardware so rarely.

The tab sync between devices feature in Safari seems to be way more cumbersome or is it just me?
It used to be simple and seamless...now it's just a mess. Look how they massacred my boy :(

When I turn on the "iCloud Tabs" option on "Customize Start Page" in Safari on my iPhone, it shows up dozens of websites I visited months ago on my iPad.

Then I longpress on one of those ancient website links and select "Close" and it disappears. But then I reopen the Safari app on my iPad (with no webpages opened), and that same website link reappears on "iCloud Tabs" on my iPhone. There's no way to permanently delete them. It's weird!

I'm sick of having issues with iCloud. A few days ago it took more than 30 minutes to upload a 15MB file on my Mac. I'm talking about 15MB, not 15GB! And also few days ago a screenshot I took on my iPad it took about 1 hour for it to show up on Photos on my iPhone!

Well Left Behind doesn’t work for me. Setup to notify if left behind in Find My app on my iPhone for my S4 watch. Made sure it was setup to notify on the Find Devices app on the watch. Took a long walk about a mile….. nothing. Took a drive of about 5 miles…. Nothing. Only thing I see is the normal red iPhone icon at the top of the watch face showing out of range. iPhone was left at home.

anyone else see this?

How do I restore the App-Icon spacing to something that doesn't look hideous? There's half a mile on the left and right side between bezel and icons -and the icons are centered in the middle, super tiny, but again with enough space between them to park a truck.
Selecting "Use Large App Icons" improves it, but the gap left and right remains... 🤢 WTF, Apple? Did noone test this on an iPad mini?

Does your phone know where your home address is? If so, it might exclude that location from left behind. Try leaving your watch with a friend somewhere else and test it.

Overall I’m liking this update. Maps especially is really nice. It’s going to take me a while to get used to all the new stuff, so kudos for organizing it all here.

Yes that is the case. So in essence unless you exclude your home location it’s a protection against leaving your iPhone behind in public.

I think so. Logically it makes sense for this to be the default but I can see some users (including myself) wanting to exclude home.

It's not only on your mini, on my Pro 11" too: only 5 apps each row when in portrait mode, but 6 apps each row when in landscape.

On iPadOS 14 it was always 6 apps each row no matter the orientation, so when I switched between portrait and landscape the apps were always at the same place at the same row.

Closing a Safari tab used to be a one finger swipe. Now it’s so far away I need to use 2 hands.
How is closing a tab further away? The tabs view still scrollable like the rolodex layout from before and the most recent one always shows up at the bottom near your thumb. If anything, it makes everything much more reachable since there are two on each row.

Btw, now you can also long press on the tabs icon then slide your finger to close this tab without even needing two taps.
