How is closing a tab further away? The tabs view still scrollable like the rolodex layout from before and the most recent one always shows up at the bottom near your thumb. If anything, it makes everything much more reachable since there are two on each row.

Btw, now you can also long press on the tabs icon then slide your finger to close this tab without even needing two taps.

mine is switched to a page preview and no longer a Rolodex…it defaults to the top of the phone.

Yep, iCloud is so unreliable that I stopped using it shortly after I started. I don't understand why anyone would trust it.

Reasons why I don’t use iCloud syncing when it comes to my messages, photos or music. I’m not ready to trust Apple with any of that yet lol.
 
Custom Domains are missing from the new feature overview.
granted Setup is a bit tricky and nothing for not so tech saavy users.
nethertheless, it existed since the last beta. But maybe it’s not an iOS 15 feature, but an iCloud web feature as that’s the only place where you can set it up.
mince that’s done the new email address is bring picked up in email and iMessage / FaceTime settings on iOS 15.

For people not living on the betas, it’s a bit hard to remember all the things from WWDC. This is like a checklist of new things to try and to enable/disable.

They say the scanning "feature" will come with a later update.
But rest assured, the code is already in there, maybe disabled with a little boolean flag and it will have tons of bugs ...

Do not upgrade.

This might be the first time I turn off upgrades on my iPhone. Now having to choose between security and privacy on this platform and the worst part is there isn't even an alternative

Same here . Totally agree with you. I will not update anymore until Apple officially drops this.
 
Is visual lookup limited to the US? as it does not seem to work in AU and it seems apple also removed any mention of it from the AU iOS 15 page this morning as well.
 
Good job MR! On a different note, bummed to see that FaceTime links don’t seem to be supported on Mainland Chinese iPhones and iPads. For those of us living here long term, there’s not much choice but to buy these castrated versions that e.g. don’t support FaceTime Audio on hardware level. At least Apple could enable/disable these features based on location, like they do with maps (because they license maps from different providers in different locations). But no, seems like I’m stuck with crippled gadgets.
 
iOS and macOS hardly change from one release to another. I get a kick out of all the hype that surrounds it.

Is this just me or can anyone confirm a bug? I got sent three 'Live' photos as an iMessage, saved them all using the download button on the image (bottom right) and they have associated themselves with the sender. Went to my Photos app and tried to edit two of the photos to set 'Make Key Photo' the better focussed frame, and it won't let me, but one of them will... they are definitely all 'Live' photos as when I long press them in the Messages or Photos app they all play the snippet of frames. I know the photos sent to me in Messages are coming from an iOS 14.8 iPhone 12 Pro and I'm on an iOS 15 iPhone 12 Pro MAX.

You can't.
With widgets you get 4 across icons. Without widgets you get 5.
Agree - wasted space and looks odd.

Now if only I could see my Youtube PIP return on Safari. That’s what I miss from iOS 14. Otherwise, I’m a fan of this major update.

You don’t know that, so that’s just baseless speculation. Also, what does it matter what disabled code is there? If it’s disabled, it’s disabled.
