5inch would be best IMO. loved it on the S4. its perfect for portable gaming.
Smaller is not really nice and bigger doesnt fit well in the hand.

For me, a tiny bit wider but keeping the phone width pretty much "as-is" would be my choice. I love the 5/5s size, and really have never felt a need for a larger screen. Too big and apple will destroy the iPad mini anyway.

3.5 is perfectly fine. It's been fine for just over 2 years.
You know, for making calls, using apps, and light internet browsing, it is just tine.
4.8 inch is the best imo. Anything more is over kill. Apple just needs to try to use all the bezel as well.
I'm going to have to hold it in my hand to be able to tell if its big enough.

This poll is no different than the countless ones that have come before it… and it makes the same mistake as the rest - many of us care more about phone size than screen size.
By going closer to the edges and slightly shrinking the home button and bezel space, Apple could make a larger screen size without changing the size of the current phone.
I don't care about how big the screen is, I just don't want the size of the phone to change.

I thought the poll was pretty clear...for those of you voting on size of the phone, you're voting wrong..... the poll clearly show screen size preference. People prefer most the 4.5-4.7 inch screen size (I voted for that as well) it is the most useful size of screen and anything larger seems to have a diminishing return, but anything smaller and you start to cut out the "functionality" of having a large screen.
Regarding 4.3-4.5 and 4.7-5.0 in. results, they are also the second to highest (i'm ignoring the people who think the current iPhone is perfect - cause they're not thinking ahead to what will inevitably be a larger screen next year) because that is the step above, and below, the optimal choice of ~4.5-4.7 in (some think 4.7 is too big, some think 4.3 is too small, but both agree 4.5 is around good).
It has also been statistically proven that the most sought after phone (in terms of purchases made) are ~4.5-4.7 inch phones. Coincidence? Maybe
On a side note, apple will very likely shrink the bezels of the screen (IGZO in the iPhone will help with that, next year) and increase the size of the dimensions just slightly in so fitting a ~4.7 in. screen. But the phone is definitely going to be wider, so get over it. They're pretty much very likely to do a Moto X deal with the next iPhone.
