Does anyone know what happened with the verge news app?
It's gone from the apple store and simply is dead on iphone.

I have been scratching my head trying to figure out wth happened. Cannot find a thing on the net. Their website mentions nothing that they killed it. I used it on the day of the apple event.

They killed it off. They made their website more browser friendly instead.

Those of us that spend all day over there are not very happy with that, but it just didn't work out for them. I'm sure advertisers weren't that impressed either and that was the big thing.

I think you'll see more publishers moving in this direction. It's possible to create some amazing mobile web experiences today that successfully bridges the gap between desktop browsing and mobile apps. By doing this you can deliver a rich mobile experience to a range of different devices and platforms without needing to maintain a myriad of separate apps.

I think with RSS services, many sites chose to stop making separate apps. I only have one RSS app which takes takes the place of those separate apps.

Thanks guys.
i guess Engadget is next then. 😡

Not happy with their decision, Joshua didn't even call me for an opinion.😱

iOS 8 killed the means of going to the verges website.
No app and now no website. Errors out on iPad mini non retina.

Ios8 is a killer for this device but I can't even open a damn web page on the verge. I was trying to read the to do list review.
