The waiting for MONTEVINA Thread!

Montevina will incorporate new Penryn processors with faster front-side buses (1066MHz) than the current revisions (800MHz). Macbook Pros will have a new case redesign. I am predicting Gun Metal Aluminum kind of like the color that the new macbook pro apple home page shows. It will look like a big macbook air, be thinner, stronger faster and alot nicer looking than the current generation and its only 4 months away.

So who's with me? The wait begins...

The current macbook pros can more than handle those menial tasks. Like i have said before, if you have a computer and/or can wait, wait. but if you dont have a computer, or really want/need one, get it. dont let the waiting game kill you.(i bought a MBP right after macworld, and frankly I dont really care about the update. i just laugh and feel bad for the people who killed themselves over waiting)
 
In a blind test (?) I doubt that most people could tell the difference between a 2.2 GHz Santa Rosa and a 2.6 GHz (or whatever) Montevina.

Feel free to come up with as many reasons as you like for waiting or buying. But in my view it is all ado about nothing.

Well the main reason is that when the NEW sexy design comes out all the old macbook pros value will get flushed down the toilet because its just like you say, you can't tell the difference now. When the new ones come out nobody will want the old one. I think a 4 month wait is worth avoiding a major loss of $2500 or more investment don't you?

i say wait for the 5.6L V8 Starbucks chip:D
you got that right!, by 2009.. starbucks will enter the computer industry, and now the new MBP can make Cappucino.... wirelessly!:D:D
ALL of us who bought this week will feel sorry.. we'll be throwing our MBP out of the window together :D:D

And can you say GIANT extreme quadX99 multi touch pad? Me like me like,...! With the new motion detection system you can now lift your fingers off the track pad to zoom in like Xbutton+scrollwheel does now.
 
i dont think that the value of the laptop will drop, i think it will hold. there well be a great deal of people who wont want the "new" design (whatever it may be.)
