It's in processing hell

I feel mocked :(

Lol. I can only imagine how disappointed some people are they walk into stores hoping to purchase one...only to find out you have to order online and wait over a month.

How about a more descriptive thread title so those of us who are tired of reading thread after thread of the same moaning and groaning don't have to waste our time opening these nonsensical threads?

How about a stuck thread for this?

How about this for a title: "Just another thread to demonstrate my impatience and frustration that I don't yet have a watch"

That commercial makes makes me laugh a little every time it comes on. It is here, but only for us 3am warriors.

Do you have your watch yet ?

I saw for the first time an Add on TV saying the "Watch is Here" and the first thing that came to my mind was NO ITS NOT. I'm still within my shipping estimate up until may 25th so I'm not complaining.

Just like many others I ordered the 42mm SS with Link about 1-2 seconds after XX:01 and still stuck in processing (again I'm fine with this) and I'm also fine with threads like this........thats what forums are for :)

Well if the ad originated from China they're just letting you know where the watches are: "The watch is here, in China!"

I love the music though. I think it was created for apple just for the commercials. I cant find it anywhere.

Seems like there should have been an asterisk at the end of "the watch is here*"

*: only in select countries for a limited quantity of select models if you preordered during a specific window after 12AM Pacific Time on April 10.

Many received their Watches on April 24th and you can currently order a readily available model to ship the next day. Just because you don't have your specific model doesn't mean "the Watch (isn't) here."

The world doesn't revolve around you.

Nailed it.

Fun fact: When Apple announced the watch in September, there were people camping at the Apple Store overnight thinking the watch would of been released that day.

I'd like to know in the UK which model will ship next day as I can see zero. Most are July or later. That hardly fits as the watch being available

The rest of the world is always delayed ("screwed" in your case) compared to the home country so nothing new for any Apple products.

That's not true, The UK is one of the select locations where you can walk into an actual store and walk out with an actual watch. Paris, Milan, Berlin, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and some locations in China are among the places where instant gratification can be currently had. Indeed considering the population and geographic location, I'd say the U.S. has it worse than Europe, or Japan.

The watch IS here ... If you can find it.

True about boutique stores, assuming they have them in stock.

The Watch is Here*

*: Not currently for sale in Apple retail stores. Limited quantities available for immediate purchase in select boutique stores. Available for online purchase in select countries. Some models ordered online on or after April 10 may not be here until after June 22. Please enjoy the watch responsibly.

I do think, given the truth of the hilarious disclaimers posted in this thread that this particular ad slogan is extremely unfortunate and unintentionally funny and annoying. Too bad they committed to this particular ad campaign before knowing how conditional the Apple Watch's presence would be. Unless the Apple execs are completely oblivious and shameless, there must be some face-palming going on in Cupertino right now.

I did receive a very detailed survey from Apple in email last night asking me about the watch itself, the retail experience, media exposure and other aspects we discuss on this forum. I imagine other purchasers also have or soon will be. Perhaps my recent purchase of Apple Care triggered the sending of the survey to me. So they clearly do care and don't wish to remain clueless. I think we can expect a smoother launch of the second generation and some course corrections for the current generation.

But you have to admit, the title is tricky & misleading.
It seems like it's going to be a link to a new commercial... or commentary on the current commercials, maybe a hidden Easter egg or something.
There's NO way to discern that it is a sustanceless post, until you click on it.
If we can agree that the op has the right to post such, misleading or not... it follows that others have the right to complain when they're duped into clicking on it, expecting something completely different.

I'm sorry you feel misled by the title. It was intended as commentary on the commercial in that I feel it is wrong and misleading in of itself.

I also meant it to be a little light hearted but I think I failed totally in that. My annoyance is coming through rather than me bein g able to laugh it off as others may so I am sorry about that

If I can change the title then I will, I will have a look.

I'm new here and haven't created a thread (shudder), but if thread titles could be changed, I suspect we'd see fewer grammatical errors and the occasional example of "Reply to this thread if you like to [offensive action of your choice]"

VERY cool & understanding of you! :)
Honestly, that makes me actually feel for you... in a bit of a "white noise" of complaints.

Mine was slated for the 13th-27th, but arrived on the 5th... so I'm well pleased!
You'll love it & quickly forget the wait... I assure you! :)

Yor are totally right. It's just been a long wait and I get a bit obsessive at times :) Got to say one thing for Apple, they are good at making people yearn for their products
