did any of you notice the pinhole on the front of the ipad below the glass? you have to tilt the ipad to see it

is this just something in the frame as a placeholder or is it a camera?

It's a light censor...

The hole next to the headphones is a microphone

The button on the lock screen is to enable the picture frame.

There's videos on YouTube explaining some of these things, if you want to check them out.

Does anyone not hit any buttons anymore? Both the photoframe mode and the hide keyboard mode buttons are easily explained once pressed.

Also, really, a great guide, is the iPad User Manual. You can get it from the iBookstore or you can get it on your iPad / Computer by going here:

Keep in mind this thread was made just after the iPad was announced. It hadn't even shipped yet so no one could have tried it out yet except for the people at the keynote.

Every 6 months you'll need to put ONLY ONE drop of machine oil inside that hole. It will keep your iPad in good shape, all moving parts working without friction.

Whatever you do, don't stick a pin inside that hole!!!

WARNING: The above was a joke (I don't want any poor fellow to fall for it and damage the microphone).

That hole is for the Mic.

this thread was made in January, before you or I had ever even touched an iPad.
