Pretty much the best article ever IMO.
That is bull.
Yep. It's true though. I can't believe /b/ actually went through with it.
If you read the entire article, you can tell TIME is pissed about this.
Hahaha.....you know our country is screwed up the butt when Moot wins most inspirational person..........
It's mainly because 4chan raided them and like every member of 4chan voted for him multiple time a day.
Ya I know but still...............
Oh god...I discovered /b/. This is going to cost me a few afternoons.
never heard about moot or 4chan.
so much about influence.
The voting is hacked, as 4chan made an automated voting script awhile ago to vote for Rick Roll in one of the online polls.
I only heard about the 4chan site about a month ago after someone mentioned it on a post somewhere on this site. I have never visited the site. Never heard of Moot.
I don't see why running a website doesn't count as a job. moot does have advertisements on 4chan; I'm not sure how financially successful he is though.
If you look at the first letters of the names of the other top finalists, they are ordered so it says: mARBLECAKE ALSO THE GAME
Good find. Quick search results in more info:
Be careful. Once you start going on /b/, your life will never be the same.
Those advertisements are mainly to run the site..
And 4chan didn't do "mARBLECAKE ALSO THE GAME." That was 7chan.
It would be Stephen Colbert if they weren't still running off the high of the Name-the-NASA ISS node contest win.
I think we should hack into 4chan and teach them a lesson
Hahaha. Good luck with that. The best we could do is raid them.
I think it's a moot point.
Wow, some terrible jokes popping up on this thread
You have got to be kidding me. Someone seriously needs to shut this 4chan BS down. It's such a waste of bandwidth.
haha wtf? no way ive never even heard of this guy
Just because you dont like it doesnt mean it should be shut down.
4chan is a group of @hole hackers. Nothing on that site is useful, it's just a bunch of garbage. There's no point to it. It's basically a way for hackers to organize and collaborate from what I can tell.
Don't even kid about that. They're a temperamental bunch and it's not worth upsetting them.
But then they might come here!
Like they did during MacWorld?
Funny, seeing as 90% of them dont know stick of RAM from a GPU, but go ahead keep labelling people and grouping them in with the bad apples, its a great way to go through life.
