You know what's going to be horrible??? When the first person drops their iPhone and it shatters like a computer screen. That'll be a sad day for that person.

They are rather fragile... does AT&T do any kind of warranty policy that includes accidental drop coverage?

Too bad it won't be a sturdy as my nano. Maybe I should wait for the aluminum iPhone nano.

People will be so carefull with their iPhones that AT&T may be the network with the fewest dropped phones. :D

I've dropped my iPods and my cellphone many times. They've gotten a little scratched up, but none has ever "shattered". Actually I've seen PowerBooks and MacBooks get dropped too (even open), and the case got beat up, but the worst the screen suffered was scratches. I'm not saying you can't break the screen, but it's not gonna happen if your iPhone just falls out of your pocket.

I'd be far to scared to let people use my iPhone, I'd never let people use it, look at it etc...so I'm not getting one(thats not the whole reason)

Its a great phone, but I'll wait for a bugs to get worked out, add 3G, add more storage, battery life. Basicly perfect the iPhone, I'm guessing in 1.5year it will be great, at which point I'll trade in my Treo for an iPhone

Exactly, same here. Our Sprint contract is up in Nov 2008, just in time for Christmas and two 64 GB Flash iPhones. Coincidentally, that is the same month my AppleCare is up on my 1.67 PBG4, maybe I'll have to get the phones a new friend. Perhaps a multitouch tablet? a.k.a. (MacBook Slim) :D
