Hi Neo fans. Had a cute story that occurred this morning.
I started my day off the same way I do every Friday morning on my way to work: stopping at the World Trade Center Apple store to play a Dionne Warwick song or two.
There was this really attractive younger lady, maybe about 10 years my junior shopping for MacBook Neos, and there wasn't any employees noticing or going over to her to help, so I figured I know enough about the Neos to possibly help her out. So I drop what I'm doing and go over to her. This is how the conversation went (I apologize if it isn't word-for-word accurate as I'm posting this as soon as I got home from a long day):
"MacBook Neo? Nice those are great devices."
"Yeah, they look cool."
"There are two models outside of the colors."
"Yeah?"
"Yes ma'am (She giggled when I said this). The upgraded model costs $699 and has five hundred and twelve gigabytes of blazing fast solid state storage. It also has TouchID."
"Oh is that right?"
"Yeah. So why don't you tell me which model and color you'd like and I'll get an Apple associate right to you to check you out, just not in the same way I've been checking you out." She blushed even more.
"Well, I thought I would like yellow, but the Neo yellow color is gross. The iMac yellow is so much better, come check it out with me!"
Before I could react, she grabbed my hand and pulled me to the iMac section to show me the yellow iMac I was just on.
"See! This yellow is so much warmer. So much more beautiful."
Then she noticed the Dionne Warwick "Heartbreaker" song I had playing.
"Oh my god! This is one of my favorite songs!"
"Mine too." I hit play on the youtube player.
Immediately she turns around away from the iMac and we meet eyes.
I grab her waist. She puts her arms around the back of my neck. We then started slow dancing to the song while it played at the Apple store.
The entire Apple store was collectively happy for us as they stood and watched.
After the song finished, we knew it was time to say good bye. While we had a great time together and the chemistry was there, we are both free birds. And we knew it about each other. We smiled together one last time and went our separate ways.
